Located at the extremity of the Gulf of Porto Vecchio is the Chiappa lighthouse, which was built in the 19th century by the architect Léonce Reynaud. Every year in September, the lighthouse opens its doors to the public for the European Heritage Days.

Throughout its history, the town has experienced many dramatic episodes: it was razed to the ground by the Barbary pirates and was caught in the bloody crusade against the Giovannali, a religious movement suppressed in the 14th century. The Pisan church has a single nave flanked by a bell isolated to the northeast of the apse.
This footpath begins with a descent to the centre of the village of Serra di Scopamena, leading to
a path that winds between dry stone walls bordering old vegetable gardens and gives walkers the opportunity to discover traditional architecture typical of the mountain culture of southern Corsica.
CECCIA (6 MINUTES FROM PORTO VECCHIO ON THE ROAD TO FIGARI)
After a 20 minute walk, visitors can reach a circular monument of about 12 metres in diameter dating from 1,350 BC.
ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE OF CUCURUZZU AND CAPULLA 20170 Levie
Both are remarkable sites. ‘Casteddu de Cucuruzzu’ is a fortified settlement dating from the Bronze Age and ‘Casteddu Capula’ a medieval fortification built in the 10th century by Count Bianco.
